We’ve Adopted Swan Road, Grant to Fort Lowell!

In the Community |

On January 12th, 2016, EEC was officially recognized with a ceremony from the City of Tucson to thank staff members for our ongoing commitment to clean up Swan Road from Grant Road to Fort Lowell Road.  Over the past year, EEC staff performed regular litter clean-ups, provided work reports on the area’s condition, and alerted officials to any maintenance needs.

The ceremony featured a Welcome and Introduction by BJ Cordova, Tucson Clean and Beautiful’s Director of Membership and Communications, as well as the following speakers:

Paul Cunningham, Councilmember, Ward 2, City of Tucson

Steve Kozachik, Councilmember, Ward 6, City of Tucson

Chris Honan, Safety Specialist, Streets & Traffic Maintenance, TDOT

Ray Montoya, President, EEC

Amanda Nichols, Administrative Assistant, EEC

Tucson Clean and Beautiful celebrates this 321st adoption and is proud to sponsor the Adopt-a-Park and Public Areas Program, providing community service opportunities which unite public and private sectors in making Tucson a cleaner and safer place.
