Corona Service Yard
EEC assisted the City of Phoenix’s Water Services Department develop this 2.4 acre site into their new maintenance facility. New features at this facility included a new 5,000 square foot building, knock down area for street sweepers, storage bins, a truck wash area and secure vehicle storage areas. EEC prepared a boundary and topographic survey, on- and off-site paving, grading and drainage plans, ADA compliance, water, sewer and fire line plans and a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). Maximizing usable space was critical to this project due to its size. Underground storage tanks and pervious concrete were utilized to eliminate above grade retention areas. Capturing storm runoff below the surface allowed traffic circulation for fleet vehicles to move easily throughout the site. Additionally, providing more employee/public parking spaces in the front of the building was critical in the design process.
