City of Phoenix Fire Station No. 57
EEC provided site civil engineering services to the prime architect, Fore Dimensions Architecture, for the new City of Phoenix Fire Station No. 57. This 14,500 square foot facility was designed provide living quarters for 13 people and four apparatus bays, as well as a public meeting room. The project included site planning for a 1.5 acre site, which includes landscaping, on-site parking, secured parking for staff, a fueling station, and water retention areas. Our responsibilities included a boundary and topographic survey, legal descriptions for additional right-of-way and temporary construction easements, a drainage report (project was within a FEMA Flood Hazard “A” Zone), documents for on-site grading and drainage plans, fire line plans, on-site fire hydrants, and on-site water and sewer plans. Off-site paving plans were prepared for the north half of Dobbins Road for the length of the fire station property. Dobbins Road is designated as an arterial roadway with a special section which was coordinated through the City of Phoenix Street Transportation Department.
