Water is a precious resource that Southwestern residents cannot take for granted. Growth pressures and compliance with environmental regulations require communities to develop creative solutions to achieve workable approaches when it comes to conserving water. EEC's team of professionals can craft comprehensive approaches to problem solving. With experienced staff in the fields of engineering, water, and watershed resource management, EEC can help ensure compliance with real world solutions.

Service Areas Include:

  • Water Resources Planning
  • Erosion Control
  • Channel Protection
  • 404 and NPDES Permitting
  • Flood Insurance Studies
  • Stream Corridor Restoration

Project Experience:

Pima County Wastewater Management and Department of Transportation Miscellaneous Projects, Pima County, Arizona

EEC has routinely prepared jurisdictional delineations and section 404 permits for a variety of county projects including roadways, pedestrian paths, and utility improvements.

Arizona Department of Transportation Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Arizona

EEC prepared SWPPPs for maintenance yard operations, performed dry weather testing of storm water discharge, developed specifications for instrumented storm water chemical testing, and prepared an Annual Report.

Cochise County Water Resources Inventory, Cochise County, Arizona

EEC identified and estimated the volume of physically present surface water, groundwater, and effluent for Cochise County as part of the requirements in the "Growing Smarter Plus" initiative by the State of Arizona.

Water Resources Management Plan for Fort Huachuca, Arizona

EEC prepared and documented integrated strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize impact on water resources. Documentation of these efforts occurs on a yearly basis.

East Range Rehabilitation, Fort Huachuca, Arizona

EEC developed recommendations for prescribed burning and mechanical treatment methods for watershed rehabilitation of Fort Huachuca's East Range. Using GIS layers, field data and researched resources, EEC prepared a plan for the treatment and monitoring for the specific conditions within each watershed unit.

White Tanks Watershed Master Plan Update, Maricopa County, Arizona

EEC updated the HEC-1 model for a 225 square mile watershed to reflect hydrologic changes caused by development over the past ten years.
