Water and Wastewater Conveyance Design
EEC prepares plans and specifications for the construction of transmission mains, wells, pump stations, sewers, and liftstations. We have a large electronic library of previous projects that we utilize for typical details and specifications. EEC's Survey, Flood Control, and Natural Resources departments support our design efforts.
Service Areas Include:
- Transmission Main Design
- Transmission Main Replacement
- Sewer Design
- Sewer Rehabilitation
- Pressure Reducing Stations
- Water Feasibility Studies
- Engineering Plan Review
Project Experience:
Metro Water Mainline Replacement Project, Tucson, Arizona
EEC designed new water mains to replace existing mains located in utility easements on private property. The design package was prepared in two phases, and included approximately 15,000 feet of water mains, fire hydrants, water meters, and service renewals.
Vincent Mullins Landfill Reclaimed Line Design, Tucson, Arizona
EEC provided the design of a new 24-inch water main to replace an existing reclaimed main which had experienced failures in the past.
Redhawk Reservoir and Booster Station, Tucson, Arizona
EEC provided engineering design, design coordination, and construction services for a 2 MG potable water reservoir, 3,000 GPM booster station, chlorination facility. The facility was especially designed to blend into this upscale residential area.
Tatum and Pinnacle Peak Waterline, Phoenix, Arizona
EEC designed 4,000 feet of new 36" waterline to be constructed with a bottleneck removal project for the intersection of Tatum and Pinnacle Peak. This project included coordination to provide stub-out for a new PRV station south of Pinnacle Peak Road.
Tatum Boulevard 36" Waterline, Pinnacle Peak to Dynamite Boulevard, Phoenix, Arizona
EEC provided design of a 3-mile long transmission main on a fast-track to connect the City owned wells to the north near Dynamite, to the demand in Desert Ridge to the south of Pinnacle Peak Road.
Hedrick Drive Sewer Rehabilitation Project, Tucson, Arizona
EEC evaluated and prepared construction documents for the rehabilitation of 2,670 linear feet of 21-inch diameter gravity sewer using CIPP technology.
Tucson Water Pressure Reducing Station Design, Tucson, Arizona
EEC prepared design drawings and specifications for two pressure reducing stations located in the area of First Avenue and Magee Road. Due to the congested underground conditions, extensive field activities were required during design and construction.
Drexel No. 4 Booster Station Modifications for Tucson Water, Tucson, Arizona
EEC prepared engineering plans for the installation of five new booster pumps in order to increase pumping capacity.
18th Street/10th Avenue Reclaimed Transmission Main Design, Tucson, Arizona
EEC provided a route study, field investigation, detail design, and public participation for approximately 9,500 LF of 24" pipeline main between the existing stubs.
