Land Surveying

Boundary and Topographic Surveys

EEC has surveyed hundreds of parcels of land in Southern Arizona, and is well versed in researching public records, monument records, and reading and interpreting legal descriptions. EEC follows the State Board of Technical Registration Standards, providing research, accuracy, monumentation, and recording. If a project requires topographic mapping on the ground, EEC uses a Total Station and Data Collector or GPS unit. The crew gathers information and downloads it into our computer system, and after analyzing the data, we prepare DTM files and a contour map showing countours, spot elevations, ties to existing monuments, and existing right-of-way lines.

Service Areas Include:

  • Monumentation
  • Recording
  • Easements
  • Research

Project Experience:

Tucson Airport Authority Monitor Well, Tucson, Arizona

EEC conducted a boundary survey of a TAA well site near the Nogales Highway and Los Reales Road. The field work involved surveying the entire platted block and preparing descriptions for new easements. EEC found encroachments and provided new boundary pins, legal descriptions, and drawings for the site.

Mission and Irvington Boundary Survey, Tucson, Arizona

EEC provided a boundary and topographic survey of an existing commercial property for transfer of ownership.

Graveyard Gulch, Fort Huachuca, Arizona

EEC provided a detailed topographic survey of Graveyard Gulch adjacent to State Route 90.

Greely Hall Auxiliary Parking Lot, Fort Huachuca, Arizona

EEC provided a topographic survey of a portion of Fort Huachuca for the design of a detention basin.

Back to Basics Ochoa Neighborhood, Tucson, Arizona

EEC provided a topographic survey of a portion of Ochoa Neighborhood for sidewalk improvements.

Mountain Village Estates, Tucson, Arizona

EEC was asked to provide some minor engineering changes to this subdivision for one of our clients who already had the development designed and platted. A field survey of the property disclosed a large error in the original boundary as platted. EEC recalculated the dimensions and areas of all 150 lots based on the true outer boundary, and prepared a Record of Survey correcting the mistakes.
