NEPA Compliance
Compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) can be a challenging process - from determining what type of documentation best meets the requirement of an individual project to preparing documentation to cover an entire program. EEC has a multi-disciplinary team of NEPA experts with experience in evaluation environmental impacts of projects that range from site specific to nationwide programs.
Service Areas Include:
- Environmental Impact Statements (EIS)
- Environmental Assessments (EA)
- Categorical Exclusions
- Environmental Assessment and Mitigation Reports (EAMR)
- ADOT Environmental Determinations (ED)
Project Experience:
Programmatic EA for Airborne Electro-Optical Sensor, Nationwide Testing
EEC prepared a Programmatic EA and subsequent site-specific documentation for sensor testing in Arizona, Florida, and Indiana. Major issues surrounding the project included noise and air quality modeling, environmental justice analysis, and land use compatibility studies.
Arizona Department of Transportation Categorical Exclusions, Statewide, Arizona
EEC has completed several categorical exclusions (CEs) as part of ADOT's programmatic NEPA process. These CEs assess ADOT project impacts on numerous environmental resources, including threatened and endangered species, wetlands, air quality, noise, cultural resources and neighborhood continuity.
Comprehensive Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Testing and Training EA, Fort Huachuca, Arizona
EEC completed an EA to address the potential impacts that could result from proposed facilities construction and expanded UAV activities at Fort Huachuca.
Artificial Aquifer Recharge and Treated Effluent Reuse Management EA, Fort Huachuca, Arizona
EEC prepared an EA to assess potential impacts associated with expanding aquifer recharge and treated effluent reuse programs in an effort to protect water resources at Fort Huachuca. Major components of this project included erosion control, transportation, land use compatibility and cultural resources.
Electronic Proving Ground (EPG) Consolidation, Fort Huachuca, Arizona
EEC prepared this EA to assess the potential environmental impacts that may result from a proposed action to consolidate and co-locate four major EPG facilities, and provide necessary site modifications and access at Fort Huachuca. The proposed activities will occur within the cantonment area of Fort Huachuca.
