Project Experience:
Raytheon Systems Company, Building 810 Decommission, Tucson, Arizona
EEC provided oversight for the decommissioning of Building 810, the former electroplating facility for the plant, to assure compliance with state and federal regulations for waste management. EEC developed the work plan; reviewed and signed off on the health and safety plan; and organized the waste management system to verify that wastes were segregated and disposed of properly. Following cleanup, EEC conducted sampling for indications of hazardous residues.
AGM Decommissioning of Printed Circuit Board Facility, Tucson, Arizona
EEC decommissioned a printed circuit board facility by removing equipment and disposing of hazardous waste, special waste, and solid waste materials. The project included removal of all process equipment, pressure washing of remaining structures, and removal of a wastewater treatment system to eliminate and dispose of any hazardous residue, in accordance with state and federal requirements.
Open-Burning/Open-Detonation (OB/OD) Pit Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Closure Plan, Fort Huachuca, Arizona
EEC completed the RCRA closure of the OB/OD pits found to be in violation of RCRA regulations. We developed multiple environmental plans in the course of the project, including a Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP), a Laboratory QAPP, and Unexploded Ordnance Safety Plan, a Work Plan for clearance, and a Site Closure Plan.
